My Vision

 I have started this blog to showcase my photography. My name is James Yoke and this will be the blog I share my work with the world. I haven't been doing this long but have really enjoyed the benefits of exploring my creative side. I mainly take pictures of landscapes but am also doing wildlife and portraits. Most of my pictures are of the ocean and beaches since I live in San Diego, California. San Diego is an amazing city to photograph. The image I am showcasing today is one of my earliest pictures. I took it at Sunset Cliffs here in San Diego about a month ago. I look at this picture now and I can see the progress I have made. I love how the colors are perfect in the sky. A lot of my images can be seen on my Fine Art of America store where they can be purchased in a variety of different prints, pillows, notebooks, yoga mats, battery chargers and much more. I also have work on my Smugmug store where pretty much all my photos are on there. I try to edit photos on a daily business and posting them to my stores. I will be blogging daily and would appreciate any comments everybody may have.

Today's Work

 Today I have been working on a couple of images both involving mountains. The first one involves a snow capped mountain with a sunset behind it. I feel it is a very beautiful image. Snow has such a peaceful feel when photographed. The second image involves a castle like structure with fog around it at sunset. I love working on images with sunsets, they are my favorite. As a photographer I am able to capture natures greatest views, and I think these 2 images capture the best nature has to offer. Both of these images can be seen on my Fine Art America store and purchased on wall art, pillows, blankets, greeting cards and much more.

Cheetah

  Today I have an image I have been working on of a Cheetah. The Cheetah is the fastest land animal on earth. I wanted to bring out the colors of this majestic animal, so I used Adobe Lightroom to adjust the colors and really brighten the fur and eyes. I think it came out really well. This image is available for purchase on my store  It is available to be purchased on wood, acrylic, and metal prints. As well as just a photo or framed piece of art. This image is also available on throw pillows, blankets and tapestries.
